Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician supporting CVS Health retail pharmacy operations across markets. Responsibilities include following SOPs and assisting pharmacists with prescription fulfillment, immunizations where permissible, immunization training as applicable, patient interaction to deliver caring service, inventory management, cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. The role requires adapting to scheduling needs (nights/weekends), traveling to stores as needed, completing state board/licensure/certification requirements, and maintaining patient privacy. The position offers part-time hours (approximately 20 hours/week) with a benefits package, and is eligible for cross-market assignments and immunizer status where allowed by law.
Required Qualifications
- Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing practice of pharmacy, including age, education, licensure/certification where applicable
- High school diploma or equivalent, or actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
- State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state (as applicable)
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
- Ability to concentrate, pivot between tasks, and ensure patient safety in prescription labeling and dispensing
- Customer service and team orientation to assist patients and colleagues
- Strong mathematical reasoning for dispensing quantities, day’s supply calculations, and inventory tasks
- Physical ability to perform tasks including lifting up to 20 lbs, standing for extended periods, and manual dexterity
- Compliance with CVS policies, including privacy and handling of controlled substances
- Preferred Qualifications: 1-3 years experience as a Pharmacy Technician; experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service; ability to work across the market to meet business needs
