Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician at CVS Health supporting in-store pharmacy operations. Responsibilities include assisting the pharmacy team to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment, following SOPs, maintaining inventory, delivering empathetic patient care, enabling immunizations and other vaccine-related services where permitted, and contributing to a compliant, high-quality patient experience. Requires completion of necessary state registration/licensing requirements and successful training; duties may be restricted until requirements are met. Preferred qualifications include 1-3 years of pharmacy technician experience and ability to work across stores/markets as needed. The role emphasizes adherence to regulatory standards, patient safety, and collaboration within a diverse team.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (or actively enrolled in high school/high school equivalency)
- State board of pharmacy licensure/certification requirements vary by state
- State-specific minimum age/education requirements as applicable (e.g., age 16+ where required)
- Active or required licensure/certification for Pharmacy Technician per State Board of Pharmacy
- Ability to perform duties in a pharmacy setting including immunizations where permitted by state regulations
- Ability to meet physical demands (standing, lifting up to 20 lbs, manual dexterity)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including evenings and weekends
