Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician in CVS Health Retail locations supporting pharmacy teams to ensure safe, accurate prescription fulfillment and high-quality patient experiences. Responsibilities include following SOPs, assisting with production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off workflows; helping patients with empathy and care; immunizations and other services where permitted; basic inventory and cycle counts; handling controlled-substance dispensing and patient privacy; scheduling flexibility; and willingness to travel to stores across the market as needed. Requires communication skills, math for dispensing, attention to detail, and a growth mindset within a collaborative team.
Required Qualifications
- Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing practice, including age (at least 16 if not otherwise mandated) and licensure/certification; high school diploma or equivalent or active enrollment in high school or equivalency program; state-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
Desired Qualifications
- Pharmacy Technician experience preferred
- State board of pharmacy licensure/certification requirements
- Immunization certification or ability to obtain Technician Immunizer status where permissible
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations for dispensing and inventory
