Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician in CVS Health stores supports pharmacy teams to deliver safe, accurate prescription fulfillment and high-quality patient care. Responsibilities include following pharmacy workflow procedures across production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off; assisting with immunizations and vaccines where permitted; handling basic inventory tasks; delivering empathetic customer service; maintaining compliance with SOPs, regulatory requirements, and patient privacy; and collaborating with Pharmacists to ensure safe, efficient operations. Requires completion of required training and state licensure/certification per jurisdiction; high school diploma or equivalent, or active enrollment in HS/HS equivalency program. Availability to work nights and weekends and flexibility to travel across market stores as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, including age, education, and licensure/certification
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
- State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
