Job Summary
Support pharmacy teams by following SOPs to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately across production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off workflows. Assist patients with personalized service, offer immunizations and other services at the register, and escalate problems as needed. Complete basic inventory activities including putting away deliveries, cycle counts, and returns-to-stocks. Maintain accurate records for controlled substances and patient privacy while complying with all federal, state, and local laws. If permitted, obtain immunizer status to administer vaccines, educate patients, monitor adverse reactions, and manage vaccine supplies. Complete required training and satisfy registration, licensing, and certification requirements per state guidelines. Work flexible shifts including nights and weekends, and volunteer to travel to other stores in the market as directed by business needs.
Required Qualifications
- Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but not limited to, age, education, and licensure/certification
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Ability to work in the home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs
