Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician in CVS Health Retail supports the pharmacy team to ensure safe, accurate prescription fulfillment and high-quality patient service. Responsibilities include following SOPs, assisting with immunizations and vaccines where permissible, inventory management, cycle counts, and providing empathetic customer interactions at pick-up, drive-thru, and phone. Requires completion of required training, adherence to state board/licensure/certification requirements, and the ability to travel to stores in the market as needed. Demonstrates teamwork, continuous learning, and strong math, communication, and problem-solving skills. Part-time role with flexible scheduling within a patient-centered environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements and licensure/certification
- Active pharmacy licensure and/or national certification as applicable by state
- Ability to meet age requirements (e.g., at least 16 years where required)
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
- High school diploma or equivalent or actively enrolled in high school/high school equivalency
- Ability to obtain Technician Immunizer status where permissible
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations for dosage and dispensing
- Familiarity with SOPs and regulatory compliance
- Willingness to travel to stores within the market as needed
