Job Summary
Support pharmacy teams by following SOPs and workflow procedures to ensure prescriptions are filled promptly, safely, and accurately. Assist patients at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone with empathy, while offering immunizations and other services at the register. Perform inventory activities including putting away deliveries, cycle counts, and returns-to-stocks. Complete required training and licensing to obtain Technician Immunizer status, then educate patients on vaccines, monitor for adverse reactions, and manage vaccine supplies. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding controlled substances, recordkeeping, and patient privacy. Work flexible shifts including nights and weekends, and volunteer to travel to other stores in the market as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but not limited to, age, education, and licensure/certification
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
