Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician supporting CVS Health retail operations with emphasis on safe and accurate prescription fulfillment, SOP adherence, and patient service. Responsibilities include assisting the pharmacy team across production, pick-up, drive-thru and drop-off workflows; providing empathetic customer interactions; offering immunizations and vaccines where allowed by law; contributing to inventory management (cycle counts, returns-to-stocks); maintaining compliance with federal/state/local regulations and protecting patient privacy. Role may involve traveling to other stores within the market to meet business needs. Requires completion of company training and State Board of Pharmacy licensure/certification as applicable; high school diploma or equivalent (or active enrollment); strong math, communication, and problem-resolution skills; and ability to work nights/weekends as part of a part-time schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing practice of pharmacy (age, education, licensure/certification)
- If state board does not mandate minimum age, must be at least 16 years old
- If state board does not mandate minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school/high school equivalency
- State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
- Must complete required training and obtain Technician Immunizer status where allowable by law (where permissible)
- Demonstrate essential functions such as regular attendance, accuracy in labeling, customer service, communication, math and problem resolution
- Ability to lift/move items and perform physical tasks as described in job posting
