Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician supports CVS Health pharmacy teams across workflow to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment, assist with immunizations and vaccinations, perform basic inventory tasks and cycle counts, and provide empathetic, customer-focused service in a retail setting. Responsibilities include following SOPs, arranging and delivering patient care at pick-up, drive-thru, and over the phone, handling returns-to-stocks and waiting bin inventories, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local laws and professional standards. The role may require traveling to stores in the market to support business needs. Preferred qualifications include 1-3 years of Pharmacy Technician experience and flexibility across the home store and market locations. Role requires completion of required training and licensure/certification per state Board of Pharmacy guidelines; immunizer status may be pursued where permissible.
Required Qualifications
- Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but is not limited to, age, education, and licensure/certification
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
- State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Ability to work in the home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs
- Anticipated Weekly Hours 25
