Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician at CVS Health supporting the pharmacy team in CVS Retail locations to ensure safe and accurate prescription fulfillment, patient-centered service, and adherence to SOPs. Responsibilities include assisting with medication dispensing, immunizations where permissible, immunization education, inventory activities, drive-thru and in-store operations, maintaining patient safety and confidentiality, and delivering compassionate customer experiences. The role requires completing required state licensure/certification, complying with applicable laws, flexible scheduling including nights and weekends, and willing travel to stores across the market as needed to support operations.
Required Qualifications
- Must comply with state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, including age, education, and licensure/certification
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
- State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Ability to work in the home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs
- Anticipated Weekly Hours 40
- State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
- High school diploma or equivalent (or actively enrolled)
- Completion of required training and certification as per state Board of Pharmacy
- Immunization/Technician Immunizer status (where permissible)
