Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician supports the CVS Pharmacy team in safe, accurate prescription fulfillment and patient care across the store. Responsibilities include following SOPs, assisting with immunizations where permitted, managing basic inventory, cycle counts and returns-to-stocks, and delivering compassionate customer service at pickup, drive-thru, and over the phone. The role requires adherence to state Board of Pharmacy guidelines and training, willingness to travel to stores in the market as needed, and strong communication and mathematical skills to ensure patient safety and efficient operations. Preferred experience includes 1-3 years in a pharmacy/retail/customer service setting, with the ability to obtain required licensure/certification and to educate patients about vaccines where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but is not limited to, age, education, and licensure/certification
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
