Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician supports the pharmacy team across workflow (production, pick-up, drive-thru, and immunization support where trained) to ensure safe, accurate prescription fulfillment and excellent patient experiences. Responsibilities include following SOPs, assisting with inventory and cycle counts, labeling and dispensing assistance, providing empathetic customer service, and collaborating with pharmacists to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The role may involve immunization support where training and licensure allow, and requires flexible scheduling including nights and weekends in a retail CVS setting. Strong math, communication, and problem-solving skills, plus adherence to safety and privacy standards, are essential.
Required Qualifications
- State board of pharmacy licensure requirements vary by state
- High school diploma or equivalent (or actively enrolled in HS/HS equivalency)
- Age at least 16 years if required by state
- Active or required licensure/certification for Pharmacy Technician per state mandates
- Ability to comply with state board of pharmacy requirements and laws governing the practice of pharmacy
- Understanding of pharmacy operations and compliance with controlled substance dispensing and recordkeeping requirements
