Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician needed at CVS Health in a part-time capacity to support pharmacy teams in delivering safe, accurate prescription fulfillment and compassionate patient service across retail stores. Responsibilities include following SOPs, supporting pharmacists in production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off workflows; assisting with immunizations and other services where permitted; managing basic inventory, cycle counts, returns-to-stocks, and stocking; maintaining patient safety and privacy; and contributing to a high-performing, inclusive team. Requires adherence to state board/licensure/certification requirements, high school diploma or equivalent (or active enrollment), and the ability to travel within the market as needed. Prior experience in pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service settings is preferred, along with willingness to obtain Technician Immunizer status where allowed by law. Demonstrates empathy, strong communication, math, and problem-solving skills; capable of flexible scheduling including nights and weekends; and comfortable operating within a regulated healthcare environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
- State-level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
- Ability to work in the home store, and across the market in other locations, to meet business needs
- Anticipated Weekly Hours 20
- Experience with immunizations, vaccines, or point-of-care testing (preferred)
- Experience complying with state boards of pharmacy requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent or active enrollment in high school/high school equivalency
- Ability to obtain Technician Immunizer status where permissible by law (preferred)
