Job Summary
Operate pharmacy workstations to fulfill prescriptions safely and accurately, assisting pharmacists with production, pick-up, drive-thru, and drop-off workflows. Support patient care by delivering personalized service at the register and over the phone, offering immunizations and other services where permitted by law and training. Manage basic inventory activities including putting away deliveries, performing cycle counts, and handling returns-to-stock. Complete rigorous company training and satisfy state licensing requirements, with duties potentially restricted until certification is achieved. Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local laws regarding controlled substances, recordkeeping, and patient privacy. Work flexible shifts including nights and weekends, and volunteer to travel to other stores in the market as business needs dictate.
Required Qualifications
- Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but not limited to, age, education, and licensure/certification
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Previous experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting
