Job Summary
CVS Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support the retail pharmacy team in delivering safe and accurate prescription fulfillment and empathetic patient service. The technician will follow SOPs, assist with immunizations and vaccines where allowed, manage basic inventory tasks, support open communication with patients and colleagues, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The role requires flexibility to travel to stores in the market as needed and to complete required training, licensure, and certification per state guidelines. Responsibilities include producing safe and accurate prescriptions, providing customer service at pick-up, drive-thru, and phone, handling inventory activities, and maintaining patient privacy and safety while supporting pharmacists and the pharmacy team. Essential functions emphasize attendance, focus, multitasking, labeling accuracy, math for dispensing, problem resolution, and teamwork, with additional duties as directed by supervision. The position is part-time with benefits eligibility as described by CVS Health.
Required Qualifications
- Must comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, which includes but is not limited to age, education, and licensure/certification
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum age requirement, must be at least 16 years of age
- If the state board of pharmacy does not address or mandate a minimum educational requirement, must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or high school equivalency program
