Job Summary
Receive prescription and medical orders, establish patient profiles including allergies and history, and assess orders for completeness and legality. Enter prescription data into patient profiles, calibrate equipment, and compound medications according to formulas. Measure or count finished dosage forms, record preparations for dispensing and controlled substances, package items, and affix labels. Perform intermediate checks during processing under the direction of the Pharmacist-in-Charge. Requires a California Pharmacy Technician license and one year of experience. Full-time role at a Sacramento correctional facility, Monday through Friday from 7:30am to 4:00pm.
Required Qualifications
- Pharmacy Technician license issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy
- 1 year of experience as a Licensed Pharmacy Technician
