Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician supports the pharmacist in ensuring the maintenance of efficient pharmacy operations, customer satisfaction and loyalty, and regulatory compliance. Responsibilities include knowledge of the RX 30 pharmacy computer system (refills, profiles, workflow, courier manifests, refill reports), register transactions (cash, check, charge, house charge, account balances), HIPAA guidelines, medical abbreviations, DME, brand vs. generic drugs, intake forms, auto refill system, and maintaining pill counting machines. Also covers daily functions such as medication sign out and restocking, and performing duties as assigned. Requires high school graduate or equivalent with ongoing education, and preferred one year of pharmacy technician experience along with ability to pass FBI/BCI background check.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Continuing education of 1 unit bi-monthly (employer-paid)
- One year Pharmacy Technician experience preferred
- Be able to pass FBI/BCI background check
