Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician for outpatient pharmacy at Palace Drug Store in Colby, KS. Full-time, Mon-Fri 8:30am-5:00pm with every other Saturday 9am-1pm. Responsible to the Pharmacist. Performs tasks related to preparing and maintaining records, quality assurance, patient communication, and adherence to guidelines and procedures in a community hospital-affiliated outpatient setting. Requires Kansas Pharmacy Technician license (or ability to obtain within six months), strong communication, teamwork, and ability to handle emergency situations. Experience in maintaining quality control and working with patients, medical staff, and the public. Benefits include medical/dental/vision, retirement plans, PTO, and more.
Required Qualifications
- Current State of Kansas Pharmacy Technician license. This can be attained within six months of hire, if not currently applicable.
- Skill in preparing and maintaining records, writing reports and responding correspondence.
- Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.
- Ability to maintain quality control standards.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and procedures.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
