Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician supporting the clinical pharmacist team with medication adherence outreach, MTM tasks, and coordination of medication-related activities. Responsibility includes outreach calls to members, obtaining and confirming medication histories with physicians and external pharmacists, documenting interactions in EHR, tracking adherence data, and assisting with medication reviews and MTM to improve patient safety and outcomes. Requires high school diploma or equivalent and CPhT certification, 1-2 years’ experience preferred; familiarity with EHRs and pharmacy management software; strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to handle medication-related inquiries and maintain HIPAA compliance. Travel to offices or environments is required; indoor, office-based work with potential for regular in-person collaboration with healthcare providers.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required
- Experience as a pharmacy technician (1-2 years) in a clinical/managed care setting preferred
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and pharmacy management software preferred
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Detail-oriented with organizational and multitasking abilities
- Knowledge of medication therapy management (MTM) and adherence strategies
- Compliance with HIPAA and patient privacy requirements
