Job Summary
Review and comply with the Pharmacy Technician Code of Conduct while assisting with the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations. Process prescriptions by entering patient and drug information, retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs to ensure accuracy and check for interactions. Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking stock levels, placing orders, and verifying receipt, while creating claims for order errors and damaged goods. Greet healthcare providers and patients, answer inquiries, and refer complex requests to the Pharmacist. Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy environment, register sales on the cash register, and process claims for third-party reimbursement. Report prescription errors immediately and adhere to all applicable government regulations including HIPAA and Medicare requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Board of Pharmacy technician registration
- maintain current licensure and certification for state
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in a pharmacy setting
- experience in pharmacy/medical data entry
- High School or equivalent
- knowledge of pharmacy law

- Strong interpersonal skill
