Job Summary

Review and comply with the Pharmacy Technician Code of Conduct while greeting patients and answering inquiries. Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking stock levels, expediting orders, and removing outdated drugs. Utilize pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information, fill prescriptions by retrieving and counting pharmaceutical drugs, and verify medicine for correctness and interactions. Process claims for third-party reimbursement and register all related sales on the assigned cash register. Direct and assist team members to maintain workflow and meet deadlines. Report prescription errors immediately to the Pharmacist and adhere to company policies regarding quality improvement. Maintain a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations. Earn and maintain certification and licensure as required per state regulations. Attend training and complete continuing education credits as requested by the Pharmacy Manager.

Required Qualifications

  • High School or equivalent; experience can substitute for education on a year for year basis above the minimum required
  • Board of Pharmacy technician registration
  • maintain current licensure and certification for state
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in a pharmacy setting
  • pharmacy/medical data entry experience
  • Knowledge of ChenMed products, services, standards, policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of pharmacy law
  • medical terminology
