Job Summary
Review and comply with the Pharmacy Technician Code of Conduct while assisting with the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations. Process prescriptions by retrieving, counting, and pouring pharmaceutical drugs, verifying medicine accuracy, and checking for possible interactions using pharmacy systems. Maintain pharmacy inventory by checking stock levels, anticipating needed medications, placing orders, and verifying receipt while removing outdated drugs. Greet healthcare providers and patients, answer inquiries, and refer complex requests to the Pharmacist. Report prescription errors immediately to the Pharmacist and adhere to company policies regarding quality improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Board of Pharmacy technician registration
- maintain current licensure and certification for state
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in a pharmacy setting
- pharmacy/medical data entry experience
- Spoken and written fluency in English
- High School or equivalent
- Flexible to work evening, weekends and/or holidays
- This position may require travel nationwide for training and support purposes
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of ChenMed products, services, standards, policies and procedures
- Knowledge of pharmacy law and medical terminology
- Strong interpersonal skill and well-developed verbal and written communication skills
- Good math and analytical skills
- Ability to multitask, work independently, meet deadlines and be flexible
- Excellent organization skills and detailed oriented
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
