Job Summary
Provide cannabis-focused customer service and educational consulting in a retail environment; educate customers on cannabis products, assist with navigating product options, and ensure accurate online order fulfillment. Responsibilities include greeting customers, building rapport with regular patients/customers, maintaining a clean and organized workstation, understanding and applying compliance regulations, assisting with inventory, and supporting managers and other Cannabis Advisors as needed. Requires an active VA Pharmacy Technician License, high school diploma, 1–2 years of retail/hospitality experience, and ability to obtain required state badges. Emphasis on learning about cannabinoids, terpenes, and product application/consumption methods; proficiency with basic office software and ability to handle POS transactions. Working environment is retail with regulated inventory and adherence to state laws.
Required Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician License in Virginia
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of retail or hospitality experience
- Must be 21 years of age and comply with all local, state, and company regulations
- Criminal background check and appropriate state badging (Medical Dispensary Badge)
- Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes and product application/consumption methods
- Ability to use office equipment and software (Word, Excel, email)
- Learn and understand Federal, State, and local laws relating to the cannabis industry and safety regulations
- Understand and apply detailed compliance regulations as required by local and state laws
- Stock, merchandise, and replenish displays of regulated and unregulated inventory
- Complete transactions at the POS and ensure inventory system updates accurately
