Job Summary
Fill prescription items, package medications, and prepare non-sterile compounding while accurately labeling products with cautionary and auxiliary labels. Enter patient and prescription data to generate labels, manage inventory by checking stock and removing expired items, and handle returned medications per protocol. Communicate professionally with customers, assist with onboarding new staff, and perform specialized tasks including working in the Controlled Drugs Room, operating automated machines, mixing IV medications, and servicing facility-based dispensing machines. Work Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., with some weekends from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Join a closed-door pharmacy team dedicated to meeting the pharmaceutical needs of long-term care and senior living clients.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Pharmacy Technician license as required by state
- Experience in a pharmacy setting and medical terminology.
- Ability to operate a computer; recognize and identify medications.
- Detail oriented; goal oriented, team player, and effective oral communication.
Desired Qualifications
- Long Term Care pharmacy experience.
