Job Summary
The Pharmacy Technician assists pharmacists in providing effective, appropriate, and safe pharmacy services; performs data entry, preparation, labeling, packaging, and shipment for pharmacist verification; communicates with patients, prescribers, and internal staff to coordinate refills, prior authorizations, benefits investigation, and resolve prescription or coverage issues; performs billing and claims-related activities and resolves claim rejections; supports pharmacy operations by handling inbound calls, inventory control, scheduling deliveries, and completing order fulfillment; requires a CA license and 2+ years of pharmacy technician experience.
Required Qualifications
- Current PTCB/State of CA Pharmacy tech License in good standing is required.
- A minimum of 2 years of prior pharmacy technician experience in a retail or specialty pharmacy setting is preferred.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management systems and basic computer skills (including MS Word and Excel)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organization and time management skills
