Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician (Bi-lingual) – Spanish Speaking: assists with the practice of pharmacy in accordance with state and federal regulations, using pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions. Supports the Pharmacist by reviewing adherence to policies, coaching and supervising fellow technicians, maintaining inventory, ensuring accuracy and safety of medications, and complying with HIPAA and government requirements. Engages patients to enhance the patient experience, handles cash processing as assigned, and may travel nationwide for training. Requires high school or equivalent and active Board of Pharmacy technician registration with state licensure/certification; bilingual Spanish-speaking capability is required.
Required Qualifications
- High School or equivalent; experience can substitute for education on a year for year basis above the minimum required
- Board of Pharmacy technician registration; maintain current licensure and certification for state
- Minimum one (1) year of experience in a pharmacy setting to include pharmacy/medical data entry experience
- Attends training and completes as requested by the Pharmacy Manager and acquires continuing education credits
- Knowledge of ChenMed products, services, standards, policies and procedures
- Spoken and written fluency in English
