Job Summary
Provide technical support and pharmacy services to the Pharmacist, ensuring accurate medication selection, dosing, and dispensing. Maintain patient care continuity by preparing sterile and non-sterile compounds, managing bulk medication repackaging, and optimizing workflow through automated dispensing system maintenance and inventory management. Serve as a communication liaison by triaging calls and providing essential information between the pharmacy, patients, and healthcare professionals. Requires Texas Pharmacy Tech licensure or certification, IV/Sterile Compounding Certification, and inpatient hospital experience. Rotating shifts with PRN availability at Seton Medical Center Austin.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Pharmacy Tech credentialed from the Texas State Board of Pharmacy obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- Pharmacy Intern obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date
- High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience
- Associate's degree/Technical degree
- 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience
- IV/Sterile Compounding Certification
- Inpatient Hospital Experience
