Job Summary
onsite Pharmacy Technician role focusing on patient engagement at an Ohio health center partner site. Responsibilities include prescription processing, fulfillment, customer experience at the pickup counter, resolving insurance rejections, inventory management, prior authorization coordination for medications including high-cost specialty drugs, patient advocacy to access financial assistance programs or copay cards, adherence monitoring, and cold chain management for temperature-sensitive biologics and specialty injectables. The role may require on-site support or cross-site remote assistance and occasional travel. Requires High School Diploma; OH-registered technician with national certification (PTCB/ExCPT) or willing to obtain within 6 months; BLS certification (or willingness); ability to obtain licenses in multiple states; 3+ years pharmacy experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) obtained or willing to obtain
- Certified or Registered Pharmacy Technician in the state of OH required
- Nationally certified - PTCB or ExCPT required or obtained within 6 months of hire
- Must be willing to obtain and maintain licenses or certifications in multiple states
- 3+ years of pharmacy experience is preferred
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple things simultaneously
- Comfortable with technology and the ability to adapt to new systems
