Job Summary
AMS Pharmacy Technician provides administrative and non-clinical support under the supervision of the AMS Pharmacist to support the Anticoagulation Management Services program. Responsibilities include managing phone lines and routing inquiries, completing INR reminder calls, notifying patients of INR results, collecting general non-clinical patient data, accurately entering prescription refill requests, scheduling INR appointments, coordinating with outside medical facilities, updating patient records with external INR lab results, managing enrollment/renewal/provider-change documentation, and promptly escalating patient needs to the AMS Pharmacist. Requires excellent phone etiquette, strong data entry accuracy, and experience with electronic health records/pharmacy management systems; IL Pharmacy Technician Registration/Certification (CPhT) is required. The role emphasizes teamwork and efficient administrative support to ensure high-quality patient care in central Illinois.
