Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician – Ambulatory supporting Neurology Outpatient Pharmacy at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus. Responsibilities include distributive pharmacy services, preparing prescription orders for dispensing, maintaining outpatient pharmacy inventory, assisting with extemporaneous and bulk compounding, operating the point-of-sale system, and providing multi-pharmacy support as needed. Role supports onboarding, training, and team development within a fast-paced ambulatory pharmacy environment; shifts are 8-hour, Monday–Friday 7:45am–6:15pm with holiday requirements every 5 years and 1–2 weekend rotations per quarter. Ideal candidates may have formal technician training and hospital experience; requires current national certification and OBOP registration with plan to upgrade if necessary. Emphasis on high-quality patient care, adherence to safety and regulatory standards, and collaboration with clinical and operations leaders in Neurology.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) through PTCB or NHA
- Active OBOP registration as CPhT, Registered Technician, or Technician Trainee
- Ability to update OBOP registration within 6 months
