Job Summary
Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently in a timely manner under pharmacist supervision. Process returned drugs for recycling or disposal per procedure, prepack frequently ordered medications, and apply labels to blister cards. Scan products for accuracy checks and alert the pharmacist of any scanning issues. Pick medications from shelving and storage areas, package materials manually, and maintain workstation areas while replenishing stock supplies. Work alternating weeks of opening and closing shifts, with weekend availability every other week. Requires an active Texas Pharmacy Technician license and previous pharmacy experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Possess and Maintain a Clear and Active TX Pharmacy Technician License
- Previous pharmacy technician experience
- May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day
- May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day
- Finger dexterity to operate office equipment
- May need to lift up to twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion
- Visual acuity to see and read fine prints
- Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus
- Must be able to hear normal voice sounds
