Job Summary
Attend and participate in didactic classroom training and coursework, then demonstrate learned skills through experiential work settings with certified Pharmacy Technicians. Observe exam concepts in practice, complete assigned online or written modules, quizzes, and tests, and meet expectations in knowledge and skills assessments. Show initiative in preparing for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam using transition periods for self-study, peer collaboration, and accessing educator office hours. Complete other duties as assigned while maintaining respect and empathy in all patient and staff interactions.
Required Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent GED
- Registered with applicable Board of Pharmacy (or obtain registration no later than 14 days after employment start date)
- Must sit for the PTCB or the NHA Certification exam once eligibility requirements are met
- Must be actively working towards national certification and obtained no later than 6 months after completion of the PTA didactic and experiential curriculum
- Experience with MS Office and other computer programs
- Organizational skills
- Detail oriented
- Excellent written and communication skills
