Job Summary
Fill prescriptions under the supervision of the pharmacist; maintain inventory of prescription medications (340B vs retail) and enter wholesale receipts for accurate on-hand counts and pricing; perform clerical duties and maintain pharmacy work areas; maintain prescription records and check medicines for expiration; call patients to schedule medication deliveries; maintain current pharmacy technician certification and ensure certificates are on file; ensure compliance with ethical standards, health and safety regulations, and local/state/federal laws; deliver strong customer service, multi-task in a busy environment, maintain attendance and punctuality, participate in mandatory in-service training, and work cooperatively in a team; possess professional demeanor and clear knowledge of clinic procedures and protocols; communicate effectively with patients and staff; bilingual abilities (Spanish and/or Punjabi) are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Pharmacy Technician License
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Written and verbal communication skills in English commensurate with college level education, with preference for written and verbal communication skills in Spanish and/or Punjabi
- Valid California Driver's License, proof of insurance, and personal transportation
