Job Summary
Assist the pharmacist in storing, preparing, dispensing, delivery, reconciling, and charging of all medications while maintaining adequate drug inventory and quality control procedures. Receive inventory, verify stock, and enter data into the computer system to maintain accurate inventory records. Perform complicated tasks including IV, Automation, and Inventory Control with full compliance to the LA Board of Pharmacy. Lead and direct the work of others as needed. Requires mastery of all Pharmacy Tech 1 requirements.
Required Qualifications
- Under direct supervision of a licensed, registered pharmacist
- Assisting the pharmacist(s) in storing, preparing, dispensing, delivery, reconciling and charging of all medications
- Maintaining an adequate drug inventory and quality control procedures
- Receiving inventory, verifying stock, and entering data into the computer system to maintain inventory records
- Mastered all Pharmacy Tech 1 requirements
- Additional specialization requirements such as IV, Automation and Inventory Control
- Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the Pharmacy
- Experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
- Ability to perform a variety of complicated tasks
- Ability to lead and direct the work of others
- Performing activities that are in compliance with the LA Board of Pharmacy
