Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician-2 dispensing and compounding medications for patients in both retail and infusion pharmacy settings. Provides quality patient care and excellent customer service. Processes, enters and interprets physician orders, and compounds sterile products including cytotoxic agents under supervision of a Pharmacist. Maintains inventory control, handles claims submission, and performs related administrative tasks. Willingness to cover at other sites in Grand Rapids and Holland as needed; Muskegon as home site. Requires Michigan Pharmacy Technician Licensure and high school diploma, with some college preferred. Skilled in retail and infusion pharmacy duties, sterile compounding, aseptic technique, and compliance with NIOSH/OSHA guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- some college preferred
- Michigan Pharmacy Technician Licensure required
- Retail pharmacy and/or infusion pharmacy experience helpful
- In aseptic technique and compounding sterile products
- Knowledge of QS-1 NRx environment or equivalent
- Ability to interpret and enter physician orders
- Customer service orientation
- Ability to follow local and federal regulations for pharmaceutical handling
- Ability to work across multiple sites (Muskegon, Grand Rapids, Holland) as needed
