Job Summary
Assist and support licensed pharmacists in providing health care and medications to patients by ordering, stocking, packaging, and compounding medications. Maintain broad knowledge of pharmacy practice and apply required techniques to prepare drugs for patient use. Prioritize candidates with previous hospital pharmacy technician experience and nationally certified licensure by PTCB or NHA. High school degree or equivalent required; 1–3 years of experience preferred. ACPE or ASHP accredited compounding course and IV certification are preferred qualifications.
Required Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent
- Previous experience as a hospital pharmacy technician preferred
- Nationally certified by PTCB or NHA as a certified Pharmacy Technician
- 1 – 3 years experience
Desired Qualifications
- ACPE or ASHP accredit course in compounding sterile preparations and IV certification preferred
