Job Summary
Receive written prescription or refill requests and verify that information is complete and accurate. Collect and enter appropriate payment methods for prescriptions, OTCs, and non-pharmaceutical products. Maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs while answering telephones and responding to customer inquiries. Work under the lead supervision of a Pharmacist to provide pharmaceutical care services. This role requires formal working knowledge equivalent to an Associate's degree, minimum two years of pharmacy tech experience, and registration/certification with the Maryland Board of Pharmacy. PTCB certification is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Formal working knowledge; equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college)
- Maryland Board of Pharmacy Technicians required
- MUST BE BOTH REGISTERED AND CERTIFIED WITH MARYLAND BOARD OF PHARMACY
Desired Qualifications
- MINIMUM 2 YRS EXPERIENCE AS PHARMACY TECH preferred
- PTCB preferred or equivalent state program
