Job Summary
Develop and implement career technical training programs in compliance with approved course guides, tailoring instructional methods to individual students' learning styles and career goals. Deliver contextual learning opportunities through projects and workplace situations, incorporating work-based learning as a primary instructional approach. Collaborate with the Center Workforce Council and community partners to strengthen industry linkages, while maintaining comprehensive knowledge of current industry certifications and safety requirements. Update eTARs weekly, monitor student progress, and intervene to correct inappropriate behavior. Ensure full compliance with DOL guidelines and state regulations while maintaining building safety and equipment standards.
Required Qualifications
- Must be licensed, certified or accredited in the state in which the center is located or accredited by professional trade organization
- Valid State Driver's License
- Must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision capabilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and peripheral vision
Desired Qualifications
- Above average public speaking skills and experience in same
- Above average verbal and written skills
- Above average problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Computer literacy specifically Internet, Email, Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Two years teaching experience preferred
