Job Summary
Oversee hospital supply and pharmacy Charge Description Master (CDM) oversight to ensure precise charge capture and compliant billing across inpatient and outpatient settings. Review compliance regulations and coding requirements, primarily Medicare, incorporating changes into the Chargemaster while autonomously educating Department Managers. Independently coordinate with managers on new procedures to assure charges are set up appropriately and timely, and assist in developing system policies for charge entry and price setting. Conduct audits to verify documented charges are captured and coded correctly, then coordinate with the business office to resolve denial issues. Monitor revenue by trending data such as charge lag, late charges, and denials, while providing guidance and mentoring to Revenue Integrity Analysts and Coding Analysts.
Required Qualifications
- B.S. degree in Nursing, Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration or Business Administration; or Associates Degree with 8 years of hospital charge master experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree
- coding or nursing credential (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, RN) or a financial background
- minimum of 5 years hospital Charge master experience
- Demonstrated communication skills

Desired Qualifications
