Job Summary
Develops and maintains training materials and standard operating procedures for a specialized pharmacy area, coordinating competency programs and providing feedback to improve staff performance. Troubleshoots complex software and hardware issues with eRecord, Pyxis, and CII Safe systems, managing downtime procedures and contacting vendor support when necessary. Provides specialized support and oversight in assigned areas while assisting with daily workflow, process improvement strategies, and resource efficiency. Ensures all technician functions align with state, federal, and local regulations through active monitoring and remediation.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- 3 years of experience as a pharmacy technician in related practice area
- Computer literacy and knowledge of pharmacy applications
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task, manage many details with accuracy, work under pressure, and maintain professional attitude
- Be of good moral character, including application of the ICARE values
- Certification from a nationally accredited pharmacy technician certification program (Currently PTCB)
- Completion of ASHP accredited training program or equivalent experience as a pharmacy technician
Desired Qualifications
- 3 years of experience as a pharmacy technician in related practice area preferred
