Job Summary
Provide pharmacy services with a focus on safety, efficacy, and positive outcomes as a member of an interdisciplinary team representing UAMS Specialty Pharmacy Services. Perform proper patient assessments, institute disease state management agreements with providers, and assess therapy appropriateness regarding safety, comorbidities, dosing, and side effect management. Document clinical interventions, promote adherence, and monitor hospital admissions for the specific patient population. Serve as a resource to defend product use to payers using clinical studies and accepted guidelines, while providing accurate drug information to medical staff. Actively participate in quality improvement projects, sit on the Quality Management Committee, and work with drug manufacturers to gain access to medications with limited distribution. Participate in a 24/7/365 on-call rotation where each group member takes call for one week at a time.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharmacy Degree
- PGY1 Residency Training OR 3 years of applicable experience
- Licensed by the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacist or eligible for licensure
- Proof of legal authority to work in the United States on the first day of employment
- Annual TB Screening
- Criminal Background Check
- Substance Abuse Testing

- 5 years of applicable experience
