Job Summary
Senior Director of Pharmacy Services accountable for system-level pharmacy economics across acute and ambulatory operations. Leads pharmacy business services, expense management, revenue optimization, payer/PBM strategy, and contract governance with wholesalers, manufacturers, and GPOs. Drives revenue cycle performance, analytics, informatics, and AI strategy; collaborates with the VP of Pharmacy and senior leaders to plan budgets, forecasting, and variance analysis. Builds and retains a high-performing team and ensures compliance with regulatory/accrediting requirements while partnering with executive stakeholders on enterprise-wide decisions. Requires a PharmD and extensive leadership in both acute and ambulatory pharmacy, with strong focus on payer negotiations, PBM contracts, and financial management. Work location is hybrid with regular in-person collaboration near Duluth, MN; relocation assistance is available.
Required Qualifications
- PharmD from an accredited school of pharmacy
- Eligible for licensure to practice pharmacy in Minnesota, Wisconsin, or North Dakota
- 5+ years of pharmacy business leadership experience
- Deep expertise in pharmacy economics — payer and PBM dynamics, wholesaler and manufacturer relationships, contracting, and revenue cycle
- Master’s or MBA/health administration a strong fit (preferred)
- Completion of ASHP-accredited PGY1 and PGY2 in Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership (preferred)
