Pharmacy Service Representative Associate, Geisinger Health Plan (Pennsylvania resident)

Job Summary
Assist Pharmacy Customer Service leadership in processing provider and member prior authorization requests. Work with the pharmacy team in implementing policies to manage pharmacy benefits. Maintain understanding of all policies and procedures related to the pharmacy benefit. Provide the highest level of customer service and support to members and physicians. Adhere to regulatory standards. Collaborate with Pharmacists to resolve clinical issues with providers in a timely manner. Document all inquiries and prior authorization requests according to policy. Determine appropriateness of pharmacy benefits under respective lines of business. Contact providers and members to communicate details of service and request additional information. Update current pharmacy benefits and serve as a facilitator to team members. Work is typically performed in an office environment. Shift: Days; Mon-Fri 9:00am-5:30pm with rotating weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 2 years-Customer Service
