Job Summary
Pharmacy Service Representative functions performed in the Pharmacy Department include processing prescriptions, performing computer entry for patient/prescriber searches, drug selection, prescription interpretation and entry, insurance billing, and refill authorizations; locating and labeling medications, preparing prescription containers, handling paperwork, maintaining the Pharmacy area, managing inventory, restocking shelves, and reconstituting oral liquids where permitted by state law.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED plus 600 practical hours working in retail and/or pharmacy operations; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
