Job Summary
Perform all functions and duties of a Pharmacy Service Representative to ensure prompt service in the Pharmacy Department. Responsibilities include computer entry of prescription information, patient/prescriber searches, drug selection, prescription interpretation and entry, insurance billing, labeling and labeling placement, handling prescription data in the computer system, maintaining an orderly pharmacy, and assisting with inventory management and restocking. Position may involve reconstituting oral liquids where permitted by state law. No supervisory responsibilities are currently assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 600 practical hours in retail and/or pharmacy operations (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
