Job Summary
Process customer returns, file daily credit reports, and sort medications by drug type for resale. Pop, cut, or deblister medications for destruction, process expired drugs with inventory adjustments, and seal containers for haul-away. Prepare finished prescription products with proper labeling, package materials manually, assist in pre-packing, and replenish stock during low-volume periods. Adhere to government regulations including HIPAA and departmental safety policies. Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required. Requires pharmacy technician license and high school diploma. Located at Polaris Pharmacy Services, a dedicated partner in care transforming post-acute and specialty pharmacy services.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Able to work at a moderate speed
- Able to work during inclement weather
- Reliable
- Detail-focused with analytical problem-solving skills
- Basic math skills
- Able to physically perform light lifting
- Must be able to work various shifts and day
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledge of Data Entry and/or IV experience
- Knowledge of brand name/generic medications
- Previous pharmacy experience
- One or more years of long-term care experience
