Pharmacy Refill Technician

Job Summary
Make assigned outbound patient refill phone calls and complete refill requests in a timely manner while answering, resolving, and triaging inbound pharmacy inquiries. Clarify prescription orders with pharmacists or clinicians, coordinate medication refills including data entry and days supply, and troubleshoot claim adjudication and reject codes. Identify medications requiring special storage or handling and manage necessary supplies. Document work appropriately across systems, update relevant data using database applications, and partner with pharmacy staff to ensure proper medication in-stock levels. Proactively apply observations to operational issues, recommend improvements, and participate in process improvement initiatives to support patient access to medications.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to commute onsite Monday - Friday to downtown Jacksonville
- State registered as a pharmacy technician
- 1+ years experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- High school diploma or GED
- Solid computer skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
- Ability to navigate the internet and web-based platforms
- Strong interpersonal communication skills
- Strong phone skills
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office particularly Excel and Word
- Able to quickly learn other programs and able to extract relevant information

Desired Qualifications
- Nationally certified as a CPhT or equivalent
- 5-8 years experience as a Pharmacy Technician
- Experience working with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals (preferably in a medical clinic)
