Job Summary
Pharmacy Technician II in Supply Chain providing medication preparation, distribution, inventory management, and system operations under licensed pharmacist supervision. Responsibilities include preparing medications for dispensing, resolving preparation issues, optimizing distribution via courier logistics and cold-chain transport, maintaining inventory and records, operating pharmacy computer systems (including Par vs Usage reports), ensuring documentation and compliance, and supporting patient care with accurate information and safety practices. Requires a High School diploma or GED and active pharmacy technician registration/CPhT. Full-time role located in Kansas City, KS within The University of Kansas Health System.
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or GED
- 2 or more years experience as a pharmacy technician in a comparable setting OR At least 18 months experience as a pharmacy technician at The University of Kansas Health System
- Pharmacy Technician Registration - State Board of Pharmacy Kansas and/or Missouri - per work state upon Hire
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) - Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) OR equivalent National Pharmacy Technician Certification
