Job Summary
Coordinate and perform departmental projects, reporting, research, meetings, and committee work while providing administrative support including staff scheduling. Prepare, compound, and dispense medical orders under direct supervision of a registered pharmacist. Perform auditing of inter- and intra-departmental processes, participate in Standard Operating Procedure development, and train pharmacy technicians. Manage inventory and supply functions, communicate with customers, and maintain comprehensive knowledge of department processes. Requires Certified Pharmacy Technician license with Idaho Board of Pharmacy, 2 years experience, BLS certification, and ability to lift 25 lbs. Required Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician license with the Idaho Board of Pharmacy
- Must have Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) status through an organization approved by the Idaho Board of Pharmacy
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a pharmacy technician required
- Demonstrated expertise in pharmacy systems
- Demonstrated ability to use computer skills including keyboarding and practical data entry into data based software programs
- BLS required
- Current AHA Healthcare provider, America Red Cross, AHA Health Saver or KH BLS during General Orientation
- Must be able to lift or move up to 25 lbs
- Must be able to maintain a standing and/or sitting position
- Must be able to stoop, crouch or bend
- Regular and predictable attendance is an essential job function
- Competent to meet age specific needs of the unit assigned
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Graduate of a Pharmacy Technician training program or equivalent work experience preferred
