Job Summary

Process daily medication and supply orders through wholesalers and manufacturers while monitoring inventory, contract pricing, and product availability. Track backorders, shortages, and allocation limits, communicating updates to pharmacy leadership and operational teams. Verify order accuracy, resolve discrepancies, and coordinate returns or credits as needed. Ensure compliance with purchasing contracts, policies, regulations, and accreditation standards while maintaining accurate records and invoices. Collaborate with inventory staff to align purchasing with par levels and usage trends, and assist with formulary updates, product transitions, and medication recalls. Use procurement software to track orders and expenditures, ensuring timely, cost-effective acquisition of pharmacy supplies.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • 2 + years of experience in procurement, supply chain management
  • Registered Pharmacy Technician in the State of Maryland
  • Certified Pharmacy Tech (CPhT) certification

Desired Qualifications

  • Completion of an ASHP/ACPE-accredited pharmacy technician training program
